Our Care

Our philosophy is to provide quality care – to look after our residents in the best possible way, in a home from home environment and meet each individual’s care, social, spiritual and psychological needs.

We believe that:

  • The main concern of our home is the Residents’ quality of life.
  • Residents have the right to personal independence, personal choice, and personal responsibility for their own actions.
  • Residents have the right to care for themselves as far as they are able to and willing.
  • Residents have the right to have their dignity respected by others in every way possible, be viewed as an individual, within his/her own circle of relatives, friends and carers and within the larger framework of society and to be treated, whatever their disabilities or frailties, as individuals in their own right.
  • Residents have the right to privacy, for themselves, their belongings and their affairs.
  • Residents have the right to be consulted about any proposed changes in daily living arrangements and to make suggestions.
  • Residents have the same right to facilities and services in the surrounding community as any other citizen, including registration with the medical practitioner and dentist of their choice.  Residents have the right to mix with the other people in the community, whether by going out or by inviting people in.
  • Residents have the right to have their cultural, religious, sexual, emotional and other needs accepted and respected.

We aim to provide the highest holistic care for each of our residents and by involving the resident themselves, relatives and friends, we specially tailor all care to meet individual needs and preferences as the health, well-being and dignity of each resident is always at the heart of our home.
